Access your Breast Implant Registry (BIR) Data

The Breast Implant Registry (BIR) was established in 1998 and has since been superseded by the Australian Breast Device Registry (ABDR).

From 6 May 2015, the BIR ceased registering new patients. However, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) continues to securely maintain the legacy BIR data to ensure that registered patients retain access to their individual records. Strict policies and protocols remain in place to safeguard privacy and confidentiality.

If you previously participated in the BIR and would like to access your patient information, you may submit a request directly through ASPS. Please note that the BIR contains data relating to procedures performed in Australia only, and requests may take up to two business days to process.

For general enquiries regarding the BIR, you may contact ASPS at bir@plasticsurgery.org.au or by phone on (02) 9437 9200.
